A very dynamic and growth-oriented company, in St. Louis, is searching for a Corporate Controller to join their team and partner with their leadership. They plan for this professional to come on board, complement their executive team and provide them with the strategic direction and continued growth. This is a unique opportunity that will allow the right leader to make an immediate impact on the organization. This role is open due to internal promotion!!

For this opportunity, candidates will need to be degreed in accounting/finance, have 8+ years of progressive experience in similar accounting/finance roles, a CPA is mandatory, experience with internal controls, SEC reporting, process improvement focused. Candidates will need to be pro-active, nimble and driven in their approach, effective in creating value and be a positive communicator and leader.

You Will Be Engaged In:

  • Involved in driving key decision making
  • Partner with CFO and CEO
  • Oversight and guidance on all technical accounting and finance activities
  • Financial reporting including SEC 
  • Value creation - identifying inefficiencies and resolving them
  • Design and maintain strong internal controls
  • Effective communication and collaboration
  • Supervision/development of staff/teams 

You Offer:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar field
  • Masters/MBA is a plus, but not mandatory
  • CPA is mandatory (active or can re-activate quickly)
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in similar accounting/finance roles 
  • Experience as a Corporate Controller/Director of Accounting/VP of Finance or similar role
  • Experience to include accounting, finance, SEC reporting, controls/procedures 
  • Mid-size company experience
  • Enjoys a role that is hands-on, but also strategic
  • Foundation in public accounting industry experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong internal drive 
  • Positive, and effective, team leader
