A growth-oriented company, in St. Louis, is searching for a hands-on Controller to assist in leading their organization. They plan for this professional to come on board, complement their leadership team and begin to provide them with the accounting/finance structure that they need. This is a very unique opportunity that will allow the right candidate to make an immediate impact on the organization and their continued growth. This is a newly created role!!

For this opportunity, candidates will need to be degreed in accounting/finance, have 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles to either a strong Accounting Manager, Controller or something similar, experience in the manufacturing/distribution industry is a must. Candidates will need to be pro-active in their approach, enjoy “rolling-up their sleeves” and be a positive, hands-on leader.

What You Offer:

  • Degree in accounting/finance or similar field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles 
  • Experience as a strong Accounting Manager, Controller or similar role
  • Enjoy relationship building, coaching and training
  • Enjoys creating/developing processes, structure, controls
  • Experience to include accounting, finance, cash, banking, strategic planning and organizational growth 
  • Some experience in the manufacturing/distribution industry is mandatory
  • Small to mid-size company experience
  • Must enjoy serving in a hands-on leadership role
  • Strong internal drive 
  • Positive, and effective, team leader

What You Will Be Engaged In:
  • Be part of the leadership team 
  • Engaged in and responsible for accounting/finance activities of the company 
  • Responsible for developing and managing all accounting/finance processes
  • Financial analysis and reporting
  • Assist with continued organizational growth  
  • Process improvement initiatives
  • Bank relationships
  • Supervision of staff
