A well-respected company in the Kansas City Missouri area, is searching for a Controller to assist in leading their organization and be a member of their Executive Team. This position reports to their President and there are opportunities for career growth. They plan for this professional to come on board and complement their leadership team.
For this opportunity, a Bachelors Degree in accounting/finance or similar field is mandatory. Masters/MBA/CPA are a plus, 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance to similar roles and enjoy working with small to mid-market companies. Experience with the construction industry is highly preferred, job costing/WIP, union experience. Candidates will need to enjoy being a hands-on leader, be pro-active in their approach, professional and an effective communicator.

You Offer:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting/finance or similar field is mandatory
- Masters/MBA and/or CPA are a plus
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance to similar roles
- Experience working in public accounting is a plus
- Experience in similar roles and enjoy working in small to mid-market companies
- Enjoys hands-on leadership roles
- Experience to include accounting, finance, analysis, reporting, budgeting
- Experience with or in the construction industry is highly preferred
- Must enjoy serving in a role that collaborates with a variety of professionals
- Effective and positive team leader
- Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail

- Financial analysis and reporting
